Good News / Bad News

The good news is … I now have another blog I can forget to update!!

If you go on over to the Simon Pulse Romantic Comedies blog you’ll see fun posts from most of the writers in the popular book line brought to you by the same people who publish DRAMA! My “Ro Com” Love, Hollywood Style comes out in January and, as we get closer to the release, I’ll be sharing my thoughts on Hollywood, writing, and whatever else I can think of on the blog.

Don’t worry though, I do intend to keep this blog up and actually start posting more than once a month! So keep checking back here as, I promise, there will be something to see.

But now for the bad news…

Pan, the Siamese Fighting Fish I mentioned in my last post, did not survive even two weeks with me. One would ask how much damage I could possibly do in that time. I mean, he was a “Fighting” fish. One would assume those little guys are made of sterner stuff.

In my defense, I did follow—to the letter—every instruction I read online about the proper care and feeding of this type of fish. Normally, I’m the kind of person who throws away the paper with the instructions on how to assemble the Gerfugefluffin (or whatever they named the cardboard furniture I just bought from IKEA) and wing it. But I knew that, in this case, I was dealing with a life and I actually had to take the time to learn what I was doing.

Maybe I should have winged it.

My friends are quick to point out that Pan likely was ill when I got him from the shop since he died so soon. Personally, I take it as yet another example of why I should never be responsible for another life.

Which is a good way to get out of babysitting the next time someone asks me.

Goodbye, Pan. You will be missed.
